Overview

The Market Outreach Specialist is responsible for developing an increased awareness in and adoption of targeted energy efficient technologies, strategic market development, customer satisfaction, as well as delivering on client goals related to outreach activity and energy savings. Adhering to designated program budgets and allocated resources. Driving participation in multifamily energy efficiency programs.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, recruit, enroll, and educate multifamily facility managers and building occupants to encourage effective marketing of and participation in energy efficiency programs.
  • Develop outreach tactics to assist in recruiting customers.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews and energy audits of small and large scale commercial buildings (ex. Safeway). Complete on-site verifications and electronic review of field data entered into program database.
  •  Record inspection results, customer and contractor interactions to adhere to program requirements. Provide input and status update.
  • Conduct installation of energy efficiency upgrades such as faucet aerators, low flow showerheads, light bulbs, EXT signs, ETC.
  • Oversee staff installing similar measures.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the business customer base.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems and issues, provide technical advice, guidance and training on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement in accordance with client specifications
  • Work order processing, data entry, and QA/QC support
  • Work to serve as a liaison between customers and the Program Manager to enhance program satisfaction
  • Research’s the markets; accumulating data on businesses, and identifying the key allies to be targeted on behalf of the programs.
  • Identify improvement barriers and critical information to the Program Manager.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of operations.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly activity reports and track progress towards program goals.
  • Periodic travel over an assigned territory, rarely overnight.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in sales, program outreach, or similar
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Should have a working knowledge of MS Office, including Excel.  
  • Experience with CRM's like Microsoft Dynamics and/or Salesforce a plus.
