CLEAResult is seeking a full-time Energy Coach to help clients apply the principles of energy management. We are looking for somebody who believes in effective customer service, values high quality output and enjoys traveling and discussing about CDM and energy opportunities with customers.


This position is responsible for delivering energy management consulting services to a group of industrial facilities. Energy management consulting services include auditing sites, leading group workshops, organizing events, and promoting incentive programs. Experience of identifying process improvements using lean and six sigma principles is a key asset. Key duties and skills (by category) required for this position include:


Continuous Improvement and Project Management:

  • Overall program management delivering services to multiple customers
  • Project management skills to deliver projects on time and budget
  • Motivating and coaching plant management and teams
  • Facilitating the development of overall continuous improvement plans
  • Facilitating training workshops etc.
  • Developing and delivering statistical models
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures in all aspects of the work


Industrial Engineering and Energy Efficiency:

  • Knowledge and technical understanding of energy consuming processes and systems such as; compressed air, fans and blowers, pumps, process heating and cooling, HVAC, etc.  
  • Analyzing process and systems performance with statistical analysis


Communication and Client Management:

  • Strong written, oral, and public speaking communication skills
  • Soliciting a commitment from executives and site management
  • A desire to provide excellent customer service.
  • The ability to work as a team and give and take direction to/from co-workers.
  • Attention to detail


  • BASc in Mechanical Engineering is highly preferred. Exposure to business side of things – sales, marketing and project management will be valuable in this role.
  • Professional Engineer license and/or Certified Energy Manager certification are desired.
  • 6+ years of work experience preferably in both engineering and account management setting
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.      
  • Entrepreneurial in nature
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to remain organized while handling multiple priorities.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to work well with all levels of management, staff and external contacts.
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and meet schedules and deadlines.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation and demonstrated results driven focus.
  • Complete understanding and wide application of energy efficiency, sales and technical principles, theories and concepts.
  • Complete understanding of requirements and policies of the Industrial Accelerator Program.
  • General knowledge of market-sector related technologies. Proficient understanding of one or more market sectors.
  • Quick learner with a demonstrated ability to learn new concepts quickly.
  • Previous experience in Conservation and Demand Management would be an asset.
